12 Strand Silk

Stef Francis’s 12 strand silk thread is hand-dyed in a beautiful range of variegated colourways. The 12 strands can be split in the same way as DMC’s stranded floss, making it wonderfully versatile. It can be used as a medium/thick yarn as it is, or split down to create finer yarn.

It is perfect for hand embroidery and is a thread that features in a lot of my kits.
